- New src/lib/site-icons.ts: base64 data URIs for the 13 tiny classic
icons actually referenced in markup (100–2000 bytes), replacing extra
requests with inline payloads. home.png, dynamic flags and currency
sets stay on the filesystem.
- Default favicon is now served server-side as a base64 SVG data URI
(memoized), while a DB-configured custom favicon still takes priority.
- Icons render through <Image unoptimized>, so data URIs pass through
untouched on all affected pages (home, login, register, settings,
navigation, auth top bar, client loading).
- Add theme_scopes and theme_scope_values database tables for scoped themes
- Implement theme resolver engine with inheritance: global > site > module > route
- Add module detection for 20+ routes (shop, guilds, radio, news, etc.)
- Create admin UI at /admin/theme-builder with scope tree and color editor
- Add ScopedThemeVars component for injecting scoped CSS via data-attributes

Wrap next/link in a shared Link component that ships prefetch=false by
default, so no route is ever prefetched (viewport or hover) anymore, and
drop the DNS prefetch hint. Removes hidden background requests that were
the source of intermittent issues.
- Self-host Nunito and Pixelify Sans via next/font instead of Google Fonts CDN
(removes render-blocking external stylesheets and preconnects)
- Remove stale mariadb entry from serverExternalPackages (app uses mysql2)
- Exclude unused src/generated Prisma client from typecheck and remove it
- Add unit tests for swf-parser, effectmap and figuremap (0% coverage -> 90%+)
Remove the per-route 'export const instant = false' opt-outs now that the root layout carries the single Cache Components opt-out. Child pages inherit the opt-out, so admin/mod/radio leaf pages that only access cached or DB data stay instant while runtime-dependent pages remain dynamic. Update the staff-smoke contract test to assert the root-layout contract.
- Clone import: defer FurnitureData.json writes and append all entries in a
single batched write instead of one read-modify-write per item, removing
the main serialization bottleneck for large batches.
- Clone import: raise SSE batch concurrency cap from 5 to 10 and bump the
clone client/route default from 2 to 6.
- Add a flush hook to runSseBatch so callers can batch deferred work before
batch_complete is emitted, and surface flush errors as an error event.
- Enable Next.js Cache Components (instant: false opt-out) and silence the
related build warnings in next.config.ts.
- Switch isomorphic-dompurify to dompurify and refresh dependencies.
theme-init.js adds the 'dark' class to <html> before React hydrates,
causing a hydration mismatch (React #418) for users with a saved dark
theme. Mark the root element with suppressHydrationWarning.
- Replace next/font/google with <link> tags in <head> (loads fonts client-side at runtime)
- Define --font-nunito and --font-pixel CSS variables in globals.css with font-family fallbacks
- Remove @prisma/client from serverExternalPackages in next.config.ts (devDep only)
Route all user-facing Atom hotel defaults through resolveHotelName (settings then HOTEL_NAME env then brand constant). Exclude Playwright e2e from tsconfig until deps are installed.

Beyond parity — the web-feasible versions of the "host-only" items plus
extras AtomCMS doesn't have:
- App-level abuse/DDoS guard (src/lib/services/abuse-guard.ts): counts
requests per IP and auto-adds flooders to website_ip_blacklist (enforced
by the access guard) + fires ddosDetected(). OFF by default, tunable via
settings. The iptables layer stays host-only; this is the real app-tier
mitigation. Access guard now also enforces the IP blacklist (cached).
- PWA: a themeable web manifest (src/app/manifest.ts) + a service worker
(public/sw.js, cache-first assets / network-first pages) registered after
hydration — the hotel is now installable.
- /api/health: DB + emulator(RCON) + runtime status probe.
- /developers: a public API documentation page covering every REST endpoint
with its method, path and auth requirement.
- jobs-worker: daily emulator JAR backup (runs host-side in the worker, like
AtomCMS's backup command) — copies + prunes; no-ops unless EMULATOR_JAR_PATH
+ EMULATOR_BACKUP_DIR are set.
Verified live (prod, amx_test): /api/health ok, manifest + sw served, docs
page renders, normal pages unaffected by the guard. tsc 0, vitest 49/49,
next build 0.
Final parity push (web-tier only):
- REST API write + token auth: POST /api/tokens (issue a personal_access_token
for the session user), Bearer auth via src/lib/api-auth.ts, POST
/api/articles/[slug]/comment, GET/DELETE /api/me/tokens, full tickets API
(/api/tickets +[id] +[id]/reply), radio current-dj/points/points-leaderboard/
embed-config + POST shouts, and a real-time /api/radio/stream (SSE). 31 public
API routes total.
- Pages: /draw-badge (buy a custom profile badge → credits + RCON), /me
dashboard (stats + online friends + referral claim). Wired into the nav.
- HTML sanitisation (sanitize-html) — the HTMLPurifier equivalent — applied to
writeable boxes + article bodies before dangerouslySetInnerHTML.
- "Dusk" dark theme preset + a default-dark site option honoured by the
no-flash boot script.
Verified live (prod, amx_test): token issue → Bearer endpoint 200, no-token
401; /api/me/tokens lists it; current-dj/leaderboard JSON; /me + /draw-badge
200; reverted the test user + tokens. tsc 0, vitest 49/49, next build 0.
Phase D of the parity push:
- Radio player: fixed bottom-right widget (port of atom's radio-player.blade)
that streams the hotel radio via <audio>, with play/pause, volume, current
DJ / now-playing and live listener count, polling the public API every 15s.
A server gate (RadioPlayerGate) only mounts it when radio is enabled + a
stream URL is set, so no widget JS ships when off. Mounted in the layout.
- Logo generator (/logo): client tool — hotel name + font/colour/size pickers
with a live preview and "download PNG" via canvas.
- Public room page (/room/[id]): renders an emulator room (name, owner,
users/max, state, category) in a ContentCard.
Verified live (prod, amx_test): /logo renders the generator, /room/50 shows
the real room "Dark Elegant Bundle", and with radio enabled the player
mounts fixed bottom-right (audio + play/pause + Test FM); reverted the test
settings. tsc 0, vitest 49/49, next build 0.
- Custom not-found (404) + error / global-error boundaries, styled with
the public design system; raw errors logged, never shown to users.
- In-process rate limiter (src/lib/rate-limit.ts) wired into the abuse-
prone flows: login (10/5min/IP), register (5/10min/IP), password-reset
request (3/15min/IP), keyed by the proxy-forwarded client IP.
- SEO/metadata: root generateMetadata sets a `%s · {hotel}` title
template from the live hotel_name; dynamic generateMetadata on
news/[slug] (article title + excerpt) and u/[username] (name + motto);
static titles on 12 primary public pages.
- env.ts: added the vars introduced since (PASSWORD_HASH, OPENAI_API_KEY,
DISCORD_WEBHOOK_URL, ALERT_EMAIL, PAYPAL_*) so env stays authoritative.
Verified on the prod server: /missing → 404 card, news title renders
"News · Habbo". tsc 0, vitest 49/49, next build 0.
Security (launch blockers):
- src/middleware.ts (edge): forwards x-pathname + real client IP.
- access-guard.ts (Node, from root layout): routes non-staff to /maintenance
when maintenance mode is on, banned users to /banned. New /banned + /maintenance
pages (the consumers the admin toggle was missing). Admin layout enforces
force_staff_2fa before /admin.
- staff-activity.ts audit log wired into ban/lift/give-currency/set-rank actions.
Infra (parallel agents): alert service (alert_logs + Discord embed + email),
PayPal top-up (create/capture API routes + /shop/topup), cron worker
(scripts/jobs-worker.ts via croner: emulator-ping->alert, maintenance-check,
bans-cleanup), social connections page, admin radio settings/banners/ranks.
Public radio subsystem: /radio (+schedule, shouts+post, contests, giveaways,
apply, leaderboard) and /apply/staff + /apply/team submission forms. Radio nav
link added. .env.example documents the new optional vars.
(radio song-requests dropped: its table is a stub in AtomCMS — columns added by
un-modeled alter-migrations.)

Make the template match the atom theme, not just approximate it:
- Add Tailwind v4 (+forms/typography plugins, postcss) and port the real atom
CSS (global.css + atom app.css) into globals.css: nav-item underline, currency
+ navigation icon classes, site-bg, card-base/hover-lift, text utils — asset
paths adapted to /assets.
- Copy the real theme assets (backgrounds, icons/currency/navigation, profile,
leaderboards) into public/assets.
- Rebuild the shell 1:1 from the atom Blade: TopHeader (currency pills +
user/admin dropdowns, auth-only), SiteHeader (header image + black/50 overlay,
logo+online+Nitro client / guest Login+Create-account CTA), Navigation (white
bar, nav-item + Community/Assistance dropdowns), Footer. ThemeVars injects the
DB-driven CSS custom properties into :root like app.blade.php. Layout uses the
atom body/site-bg + grid-cols-12 max-w-7xl content wrapper.
Verified: tsc 0, next build exit 0; curl confirms the atom markup, compiled CSS
references the assets, and background-light.jpg + currency/navigation icons all
serve 200.
Faithful port of AtomCMS's "atom" theme look (light, Habbo-retro, golden
#eeb425 / amber #f59e0b accents, white cards, 12px radii, Nunito-first stack):
- globals.css: full token set + components (.site-header/.nav-item, .btn-*,
.card, .hero, currency pills, article cards, inputs, tables, footer).
- SiteHeader (brand + nav + currency pills + auth box, staff-aware) + SiteFooter;
layout wraps header/content/footer. Removed the bare SiteNav.
- Restyled home (hero + article cards), login (centered card).
- siteSettings now falls back to DEFAULTS on missing key OR DB error, so pages
render without a DB; DATABASE_CONNECT_TIMEOUT_MS env + pool acquireTimeout make
the no-DB fallback fast.
Verified in a real browser (computed styles): header white/sticky, golden logo
gradient, uppercase nav, amber primary button @12px radius, golden outline,
hero gradient — all correct. tsc exit 0, vitest 48/48, next build exit 0.
